The second part of the Flags and Banners class was filled with giddy excitement. Everyone in the room knew about the impending surprise party for Pastor Estell.

Suzi Herman was our guest teacher and she was also in on the surprise. We planned a Crash/Flash party for Pastor Estell’s 60th birthday.

Class starts at 7pm, at 7:29pm while doing a flag exercise the alarms went off on our cell phones as planned. It was annouced “It’s 7:29” and all the ladies in the class started setting up the tables ad chairs and decorating the room, at 7:30pm the door opened and approximately 50-60 people crashed the class. More arrived soon after. It was awesome to see so many people there that came to celebrate Pastor Estells birthday. It was so very nice. It was also so very hot in the room with all those people we had to set up chairs outside in the yard for groups to gather and socialize. There was so much food and beverages. Don, Pastor Estells husband bought this really beautiful sheet cake. Make sure you look for the pictures of it. The surprise was a real surprise as Pastor Estell was tearful and happy at the same time. She is a well known and well loved pastor that has helped many many people.

I want to thank everyone that came and also the SOS ladies, Suzi Herman and my helpers in pulling this surprise party together. Thank you Kim J., Sherry D., and Camely. I also want to thank Pastor Estell for all she has done for me. She is an awesome woman of God and I am privileged to know her and the other Calvary Chapel members.

Blessings, Mary

Learning about the purpose and colors of flags and banners in and out of church, July 18, 2012

Suzi  Herman was our guest speaker at class. Suzi has a Flags and Banners Ministry and flag and banner making business. We used to have flags ad banners at our church but it was stopped. I really don’t know why. It seemed to me, a fairly new Christian that it just made the Praise and Worship part of the  service that much more awesome. It really made me feel like the Holy Spirit was just washing over us, ever so gently. We are praying that it is brought back into our church.

Suzi taught us that the reasons and purposes of flags were credited to the Holy Spirit. To give a desired message of the heart, Isaiah 12:2. The first banner or flag was noted in Exodus. Banners are slightly different than flags. Flags don’t have that much written on them and banners can be ornate. Flag colors mean different things also.Yyellow for example means: faith, Glory of God, anointing. Sapphire blue means: The Law, The Commandments, authority, prayer, Holy Spirit. So you see that waving a flag or banner is about the color and message conveyed by the Holy Spirit.

There are also different waves with flags that can  demonstrate different parts of the praise and worship music. Such as fluttering. It can represent the Holy Spirit. I find this all quite interesting and look forward to Suzi returning next Wednesday with her smaller hand held flags. For more information on flags and banners check out Suzi Hermans website: http://www.creationsanewflags.com .

It’s good to learn new things!

All I can say is WOW! What a Soaking worship service we had at The Daily Transformation Ministry. People were slain in the spirit. The Holy Spirit was definitely moving. The flag and banner waving  along with the wonderful music of Todd and Pastor Estell singing were  just so moving. Power in prayer at work here. Pastor Estell and Pastor Freddy were giving people Words from the Holy Spirit. It was quite an emotion filled prayer filled service. I am so very glad that I was able to attend. There were a lot of giftings displayed, the soaking was felt all around the room  as people were filled  with the Spirit. Awesome!!

SOS meeting on Wednesday July 11,2012 was so very informative!

Trish spoke at our SOS meeting

We had a great SOS meeting this past Wednesday. Trish came and spoke with us regarding insurances and annuities. Interesting conversations and great question and answer session too. The annuity information definitely piqued our interests. If you need life insurance or want to know more about investing in what and where give Trish a call (727-687-5166). I’m sure she can help you with any of your insurance or investment questions. Oh did I mention she’s a Christian  and attends Calvary Chapel worship Center too!

What a great day for a cup of tea! July 11, 2012

What a great day for a cup of tea! As a surprise early birthday present I treated Pastor Estell to Mrs Teas Tea Room in Lutz Florida  (http://mrsteasgarden.com/) . A nice little place that just does “Tea Parties” and “Afternoon Tea”. A nice girly girl place, relaxing, awesome service, wonderful tea and terrific tasting foods. Each table has an eclectic table setting, very nicely done. A soup or broccoli salad are offered and after that a  three tiered  plate stand is brought to the table along with colorful teapots on candle  stand warmers. The cookies, tarts, crumpets soup ( we had potato soup) was freshly made and delightful to the taste buds. The plate stand had equal amounts of food for Pastor Estell and myself.

It was nice, friendly, relaxing, just a great way to spend a couple of hours. I highly recommend going there. See the link for their website in my link section While you  are there stop by their  little sales area and check out the teapots and items for sale. very reasonably priced.

All I can say is ENJOY.Get your friends and family together and check it out. Reservations are recommended, see website for details.
