Leah wrote this beautiful poem and read it to us at our weekly meeting. She said the Holy Spirit guided her to writing it. I hope you think it’s as awesome as we did. It’s untitled as of this writing but I’m sure you will know what it’s all about.
” I saw a woman today, she smelled not of cologne,
She loves Jesus, yet she feels so alone,
Her clothes were tattered and worn,
a heart searching a heart bruised, broken and torn,
These are women who once were us carrying Shame,
It is not our job to teach them how to dress for if they turn away we are to blame,
These are precious and dear,
We Christ’s bride sent them away in tears,
For He looks not at the outer appearance but at the heart,
So should we too if we ar His set apart,
Let us not think as the Scribes and Pharisee’s,
Let us see as He see’s,
Remember it is not our call,
To tell sisters how to dress making them feel small,
In time as He has taught us and cleaned up our mess,
In His robe of righteousness He’ll teach us how to dress.”
Thanks to the Holy Spirit and Leah for words of heartfelt understanding.
Any comments please feel free, Leah will be glad for any feedback as will I.
