What an awesome Holy Spirit guided poem by Leah Anne Sease, August 1, 2012

Leah wrote this beautiful poem and read it to us at our weekly meeting. She said the Holy Spirit guided her to writing it. I hope you think it’s as awesome as we did. It’s untitled as of this writing but I’m sure you will know what it’s all about.

” I saw a woman today, she smelled not of cologne,

She loves Jesus, yet she feels so alone,

Her clothes were tattered and worn,

a heart searching a heart bruised, broken and torn,

These are  women who once were us carrying Shame,

It is not our job to teach them how to dress for if they turn away we are to blame,

These are precious and dear,

We Christ’s bride sent them away in tears,

For He looks not at the outer appearance but at the heart,

So should we too if we ar His set apart,

Let us not think as the Scribes and Pharisee’s,

Let us see as He see’s,

Remember it is not our call,

To tell sisters how to dress making them feel small,

In time as He has taught us and cleaned up our mess,

In His robe of righteousness He’ll teach us how to dress.”

Thanks to the Holy Spirit and Leah for words of heartfelt understanding.

Any comments please feel free, Leah will be glad for any feedback as will I.

Blessings, Mary

Flags class pt2 and SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PASTOR ESTELL! 7/25/2012

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The second part of the Flags and Banners class was filled with giddy excitement. Everyone in the room knew about the impending surprise party for Pastor Estell.

Suzi Herman was our guest teacher and she was also in on the surprise. We planned a Crash/Flash party for Pastor Estell’s 60th birthday.

Class starts at 7pm, at 7:29pm while doing a flag exercise the alarms went off on our cell phones as planned. It was annouced “It’s 7:29” and all the ladies in the class started setting up the tables ad chairs and decorating the room, at 7:30pm the door opened and approximately 50-60 people crashed the class. More arrived soon after. It was awesome to see so many people there that came to celebrate Pastor Estells birthday. It was so very nice. It was also so very hot in the room with all those people we had to set up chairs outside in the yard for groups to gather and socialize. There was so much food and beverages. Don, Pastor Estells husband bought this really beautiful sheet cake. Make sure you look for the pictures of it. The surprise was a real surprise as Pastor Estell was tearful and happy at the same time. She is a well known and well loved pastor that has helped many many people.

I want to thank everyone that came and also the SOS ladies, Suzi Herman and my helpers in pulling this surprise party together. Thank you Kim J., Sherry D., and Camely. I also want to thank Pastor Estell for all she has done for me. She is an awesome woman of God and I am privileged to know her and the other Calvary Chapel members.

Blessings, Mary

Awesome preaching today, June 3, 2012 at The Daily Transformation Ministry with Pastor Freddy and Pastor Estell!

Pastor Estell was a guest pastor today at Pastor Freddys church The Daily Transformation Ministry  at 7425 Orchid Lake Rd., New Port Richey. She spoke  of Love and “how it is not self serving, nor forced. Love is forgiveness. It’s a choice,  and starting today let’s make better choices.” To also have “a zeal for the Lord. If we can be excited over sports or someone’s accomplishments why can’t we also be “excited and have zeal for the Lord?” We need to walk in Love towards our enemies.

Pastor Estell taught us the Five Languages of Love. First, words of affirmation, second, quality time, third, receiving gifts, fourth, acts of service and fifth is physical touch. We all have one or more of these love languages that speak to us. Which ones are yours? Which are your spouses, mother, father, childrens , neighbors, friends, clerks, you get the picture. Powerful teaching and preaching on Love.

Pastor Freddy also spoke of Love and the heart and how God is still working in your life. How God uses the “stuff” in your life to bring about good. “When you don’t see external growth God is working on your root system.”  The only thing that remains is Faith, Hope and Love. They are everlasting. Good teaching. Wow, that hit home with me for sure what about you. I got the Word God, thanks. During Communion we learned to receive with honor and forgiveness. To ask God to help us release forgiveness, guilt, and  pain. To Believe that God is working in our life. Very touching, brought tears to my eyes.

Today was also AGAPE Sunday at The Daily Transformation Ministry. That meant fellowship and food. Lots and lots of each. What a wonderful post worship service. Kudos to the church ladies and leaders. The food was plentiful and delicious. I love to see the unity of people working together to get things done. Thank you all for such a wonderful service.

Blessings, Mary
